Welcome to Taylor Ridge Ranch. We are a 40 acre ranch located in the central Sierra Nevada foothills of California, an area that is steeped in a history of gold mining and agriculture, in a town with a population of 435 people. In essence there are more animals than people! As a small scale cottage industry we are dedicated to producing quality fiber and soaps. Our focus is on providing a safe, clean, relaxing environment for all of our animals while waiting for their fiber to grow! In an effort to sustain the land we have chosen the types and breeds of our animals not only for their fiber quality but also for their natural food preferences. Their preferred grazing habits help us maintain the ranch and keep them out and moving, it also prevents overgrazing and damage to the natural ecosystem. We are small scale ranchers pursing the cycle of sustainability while also supporting other local farmers/ ranchers and small scale cottage industries.
